You & Me Forever – Pre Marriage

Preparing for a wedding is such an exciting but often exhausting time with so much to organise for the big day, so many people to please. However. we all know after the wedding, our family & guests go back to their lives and we now live a new lifestyle called Marriage – it’s why we say our vows to commit to our best friend, to do life with, create a family of our own, or goals together as a couple.

So take this opportunity to make the wedding about your relationship and future, reflect and prepare for the life long promises for a strong marriage where you can have a sound strong friendship, create rituals and deal with the differences which will arise throughout all stages of your marriage.

In these sessions we will be firming up the strong foundations of your friendship by utilising the research, sharing with you predictors to look out for, principles of success and longevity based on evidence, to get through all seasons of your marriage.

Topics include: Two dimensions of long term commitment personal dedication vs constraint stage, awareness of auto pilot vs intentional marriages, know the signs of eroding personal dedication and how to reinstate it, managing conflict including stress reducing conversation, negative patterns of behaviours to avoid and creating couple rituals which research says is the glue that keeps you connected. Robyn uses the research to help you to strengthen your couple partnership now and into the future, so as to live your vows daily and reach your happily ever after.

Target clients, first or second time marriages or making a commitment to move in together with a view of permanence and longevity whether a wedding ceremony is planned or not.

Strengthening Us Before (or After) Bubs - Parenting

As Relationship Researcher Dr Gottman says, “The best gift you can give your children is a strong relationship between you two” “7 out of 10 new parents have a drop in relationship satisfaction in the first three years of a babies life” – can all be normal. “The birth of a child, is the birth of a parent”. None of us know what is ahead, post baby being born.

New parents are so excited to hold and meet their new baby. This time can also be overwhelming, tiring and we can lose our patience with each other or we have miscommunication or indifference increases.

New roles, exhaustion and still having to work, run a business or run a house, maybe have another toddler to attend to, can all impact on the couple as individuals and as partners. There is also our social life and extended family to manage, sometimes set new boundaries with. Strengthening Us Before Bubs can be attended before or after the birth of a baby, depending on your commitments and work schedule.

These sessions are to assist you with confidence by supporting and walking beside you to ensure your experience of parenting is a positive one and your relationship is strengthened post the sessions.

These sessions will ensure the couple foundations are strong and sound before or after bubs arrival. Learn how a stronger friendship, the ME to We/Us concept, and building emotional connection by adding deposits to your emotional bank account will assist in managing our differences. Ideas of co-operative play, creating rituals and memories to strengthen family ties. Looking at the positive principles that predict relationship satisfaction post baby and into the future. Understanding conflict is a crushing of your hopes, goals, dreams or expectations by your partner (intentionally or unintentionally), learn what repair is, how this concept saves relationships and marriages.

This workshop supports & celebrates couples on the next part of their journey when expanding their family pre or post baby. Clients can also include foster parents or guardianship of a family member’s child.

Finding Love Again – Widowed, separated or divorced

Getting Us Back On Track – Any couples

If you feel like you are in a rut, rensentful, more like flatmates than partners, on auto pilot, find yourself in constraint stage and want something different then this workshop is for you. It is interesting, informative and interactive with sections of couple sharing, but no private intimacy information will be shared.

These sessions aim to change the negative thoughts and feelings to a positive perspective, as you did when you dated or were newly together in the “win & chase stage or romantic love”. Understanding there is a normal second stage when our personal dedication may erode and this stage takes more effort, need for intentionality or awareness. Are you ready for this change and want to work for it. If all of the above feels familiar then this workshop is for you. Some couples do not seek help at all or until it is too late and “throw the baby out with the bath water”, when the relationship could actually be saved by reflecting on the current lack of connection and learning the research and new patterns, letting go of the resentment and hurt, take responsibility for the part you play, leading to different outcomes to what you are living now.

You can attend as a couple or solo to hear evidence-based research about why personal dedication eroded and why it feels like you are in this stage or situation. You will be exposed to the research what couples did to achieve their hope of reconnecting as a couple. The reality is you can move forward as a more connected couple, just like you first hoped and dreamt about in the early days.

Now Time For Us - Couples

After journeying together starting out dating, all positive, some couples feel like they are on auto pilot, juggling, putting everything else before the couple relationship, living like a team in the office or business, it is now time to review your relationship and reconnect. In this workshop, we will explore together the research relating to how you can enjoy your time with a closer connection moving forward. No matter what age, length of time together or stage your relationship is at, it’s time for you as a couple, your stage could be with a young family, step family, empty nester or retirees but it is about you now.

Topics covered include creating new rituals, setting boundaries, new goals, spending time together, difference of I to We or ME to WE, reminiscing about the positive parts of your journey and the shared memories to become a more connected and conscious, intentional couple once again. How to be each other ‘No. 1 Fan Club Member” once again.

Increase emotional banking, understanding bids and accepting bids, the principle of turning towards each other, understanding the stage you are at, creating new and important couple rituals, iceberg concept & skill to manage same, conflict/indifferences, accepting influence from your partner & importance of repair.
